So this September, our firm chose to sponsor Ashley Simpson and walk in the 15th Annual Conquer Chiari Walk Across America.
Leading up to the Conquer Chiari Walk Across America our team helped raise funds and awareness for Chiari research. In fact, Conquer Chiari is the largest private funder of Chiari research with over $4 million in research projects to date.
What is Chiari?
According to the Mayo Clinic – Chiari malformation is a dangerous brain condition. Where the spinal canal is invaded by brain tissue. It happens when the brain is pressed against and forced downward by an abnormally shaped or tiny portion of the skull.
Want to Know More About the Conquer Chiari Walk?
Well, September is Chiari Malformation Awareness Month. And during the 3rd and 4th weekends of September every year, a Chiari walk happens. Actually, they call these walks Conquer Chiari Walk Around America. Many of these local awareness and fundraising walks are hosted across the nation. Typically, planning for walks starts in January.
