The driver of a 2010 Toyota Tundra was driving in the wrong lanes of U.S. 301 when his car struck an oncoming vehicle injuring four. According to a Florida Highway Patrol officer at the scene<\/a>, the driver of the Tundra was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the highway and that alcohol was a factor in the head-on collision.<\/p>\n

The second car in the accident was also a Toyota Tundra but its year is 2015. The accident happened a little after midnight Sunday, March 3, 2019. Paramedics took all three occupants of the 2015 Tundra and the driver of the 2010 Tundra to a local hospital and listed in serious condition. FHP says that charges are pending against the driver of the 2010 Tundra.<\/p>\n

Violent head-on collisions often cause cars to roll over, catch on fire or fly off the roadway. This increases the likelihood of more serious injuries. Also, with many head-on collisions, a car might drift over the centerline quickly giving the other driver no chance to take defensive actions.<\/p>\n
