The following violations are serious enough to fall within the misdemeanor traffic category in Florida.<\/p>\n<h3>Hit and Run Accidents<\/h3>\n<p>There were\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flhsmv.gov\/safety-center\/driving-safety\/hitrun\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">104,273 hit-and-run accidents<\/a>\u00a0in Florida in 2023. Florida law defines reckless driving as driving a motor vehicle with willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property.
