At RHINO Lawyers, we believe in the power of community and giving back to those in need. This past Sunday, December 15th, 2024, members of our RHINO Lawyers team had the privilege of volunteering at Feeding Tampa Bay’s Trinity Café Nebraska. This inspiring event allowed us to step away from our daily routines and connect with our neighbors in a truly meaningful way.

Serving Meals, Serving Smiles

In just a few hours, our team helped serve 138 meals to individuals and families facing hunger. It was a humbling experience that reminded us of the importance of compassion and community. At Trinity Café, every meal is served restaurant-style, offering a dignified dining experience to those who visit. Volunteers assume various roles, from serving meals to bussing tables and assisting with drive-thru distributions.

The joy of seeing someone’s face light up over a hot, nutritious meal is hard to put into words. Volunteering with Feeding Tampa Bay not only nourished our neighbors but also filled our hearts with gratitude and purpose.

Volunteering at Trinity Café is a unique and rewarding experience. Here’s how the morning unfolded:

• Arrival & Orientation: Volunteers gathered promptly at 8:30 AM for a brief orientation. The Feeding Tampa Bay team provided an overview of the day’s tasks and safety guidelines to ensure everything ran smoothly.
• Roles & Responsibilities: Volunteers took on roles similar to restaurant staff, including:
  • Serving tables: Bringing meals to seated guests with a smile.
  • Bussing tables: Clearing dishes and ensuring a clean, welcoming space.
  • Hosting: Greeting guests and making them feel at home.
  • Drive-thru assistance: Helping distribute meals to individuals and families in need through the outdoor drive-thru.

Dress Code:

All volunteers adhered to Feeding Tampa Bay’s dress code to ensure safety and professionalism:

• Closed-toe shoes (sneakers preferred).
• Shirts with sleeves (no tank tops).
• Jeans or shorts of appropriate length.
